The Deaconess Ministry makes provision for the Lord’s Supper as often as the church observes the event. This includes maintaining the inventory for the elements, preparing the communion table, and cleanup after the service. The Deaconess’ coordinate female baptisms and aid the candidates before and after the event. They launder the communion linens (and iron), baptism clothing and towels. The Deaconess Ministry has a bereavement team who visits the sick and those who have death in the family, often assisting with food items or a monetary gift. They sometimes accompany their husbands when serving communion to home-bound members. Deaconess’ undergo training from our Pastor too, at the same time their husbands are in training. Their aim is to hold fast to our biblical foundation, being shepherds of God’s flock that is under our care and as God would have us to be.
