On February 23, 2019 we will attend the ASBC HBCU College Festival at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. This will be the 3rd year that the Three Dimensional Youth Ministry’s ZOOM-IN team has gone to the HBCU College Festival sponsored by the Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA. We find the tremendous value in preparing our young people for college and exposing them to as many resources and opportunities as possible. Last year we had over 20 Students attend this trip between the 10th and 12th grades. All who interviewed with colleges received notification of onsite admittance. 2 transfer students were admitted to the HBCU’s of their choice. We are overjoyed to see the amount of support and information packed into this one-day expo. This is great for both student and parents to experience together. Extremely helpful seminars for parents are offered as well. This event is not limited to members of The Greater Zion Baptist Church’s Three Dimensional Youth Ministry we encourage the community to participate and join us.
We will leave from Greater Zion’s Campus on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 6:00 am. Arrive at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC at 8:15 am. This is a full day event and are expected arrival back to Greater Zion’s Campus will be 6:15 pm. The Deadline for registration of February 5, 2019 has been extended to February 14, 2019.
